r.i.p. philip jose farmer

one of science fiction’s greatest imaginations, at 91

i never got past the first Riverworld book (To Your Scattered Bodies Go), and i don’t know why because it’s one of the best of its kind. also got a kick out of Blown, which married sci-fi & sex in a more mature — and intriguing — way than any other sci-fi author of the time (1969).

Here’s his site.

scanning his bibliography, i’m intrigued by several, first off Inside Outside, which sounds wild and cool, the way i remember PJF.

I still have a copy of “Blown”. Probably one of the few Sci-Fi books I ever really got into (intoduced by you?). Maybe I’ll read it again…in his honor.
