mulling a classic

yes, that is an awful pun headlining this post about a charming short piece by peter bradshaw on seeing the classic powell/pressburger film I Know Where I’m Going! on the island where much of it was filmed

why The Edge of the World is on bluray and this isn’t is a mystery to me. guess it was cheaper.

he compares a plot detail to a similar one in black narcissus, which is my other favorite p/p film. it is on bluray, in fine form fortunately.

in other movie news, atom egoyan is doing a film about the west memphis debacle, which reminds me of the amanda knox story.

never did get to Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills. i knew it would be too depressing.
